How do I know if my cat needs to be adjusted?

It is common for subluxations to cause pain when present.  Cats that are in pain will often compensate in their gait or posture.  An animal may also refuse to perform usual activities or have a change in attitude or behavior.

Your cat may benefit from chiropractic care if you notice any of the following:

  • Uneven pelvis or hips
  • Back, neck, leg, or tail pain
  • Weakness
  • Sensitivity to touch
  • Decrease in flexibility
  • Joint pain
  • Altered gait
  • Stiffness
  • Head tilt
  • Difficulty or hesitating when jumping
  • Tail to one side or hanging abnormally
  • Injuries resulting from slips, fall, or accidents
  • Sudden changes in behavior or personality
  • A look of apprehension or pain in facial expression
  • Muscle atrophy (loss), imbalance, or spasm
  • Movement problems or pain caused by jumping off of
      high places or incorrect landings
  • Jaw problems, or difficulty when eating or chewing
